 AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT

  • Develop HOPE VI and Mixed-financed sites.

  • Develop and coordinate major funding applications/proposals for private and public funding.

  • Coordinate marketability assessments that guide the owner in determining investments needed to significantly contribute to the broader neighborhood revitalization.

  • Utilize the low-income housing tax credit program for gap financing.

 CONSTRUCTION and PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT

  • In consultation with a Public Housing Authority (PHA) and the broader community, develop a HOPE VI Revitalization Plan, for approval by the Office of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), which addresses the goals and objectives in the HOPE VI application and results in a viable and sustainable community, which attracts a broad mix of incomes to the Redevelopment Area.
  • Provide the necessary staffing, expertise, and supervision required to fully and expeditiously implement all aspects of program management services as required by the contract.
  • Identify a project manager who will coordinate, supervise and facilitate all aspects of services, and be fully accountable to the Public Housing Authority to ensure that the goals and objectives of the Revitalization Plan and all budget and schedule requirements are being met.

 COMMUNICATIONS

  • Communicate and interact effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Hold meetings in a board room environment to inform senior management of neighborhood revitalization opportunities.
  • Organize and present data clearly and persuasively.
  • Utilize effective communication and interpersonal skills to address issues/problems or concerns.
  • Keep abreast of opportunities in various states through ongoing communication with contacts.
  • Acquire, organize, interpret and furnish information to Upper Management regarding the technological and economic conditions of the organization.
